Due to the precautions CMU is taking to slow the spread of COVID-19, the 2020 学生展示 will be a Virtual 学生展示. We are excited to venture into this adapted way to present all of your hard work and to share the results with a wider audience. The final deadline for submitting projects is by 5 pm on May 1 although some options may required earlier action.*
Virtual Showcase Presentation Options, Deadlines, and 资源
Students who wish to submit their showcase project to the Virtual 学生展示, or whose project is integral to their semester grades, can work with their faculty sponsors to select one of the following options. Please note that the primary faculty sponsors have submitted the information about the option that has been chosen for each of the projects.

PDF: Students whose projects consist of a poster, written paper or PowerPoint presentation that do not require a voiceover or video may submit a PDF of the project. Detailed instructions on how to submit the PDF have been sent to all Virtual Showcase participants who are choosing this option. 所有pdf文件必须在5月1日下午5点前提交.

放大演示: Students whose projects include an oral presentation with/without a PowerPoint presentation or include performances, exhibits and/or demonstrations that need videos can present their project via Zoom. Zoom is available to everyone on MAVzone and can be used with individual or group presentations. All Zoom presentations must be submitted by 5 pm on May 1. Detailed instructions on how to submit the Zoom presentation have been sent to all Virtual Showcase participants who are choosing this option.

PDF和缩放演示文稿: Students whose projects need a high-quality PDF to represent their visual aid in addition to a video presentation in which the visual aid is also shared can submit both a Zoom video with their faculty sponsor and a stand alone PDF. All PDFs and Zoom presentations must be submitted by 5 pm on May 1. Detailed instructions on how to submit the PDFs and Zoom presentations have been sent to all Virtual Showcase participants who are choosing this option.

Projects that need need another platform besides Zoom: Students whose projects are oriented towards performance that cannot be captured well through Zoom or that have an aesthetic consideration needing a higher level of production can perform through the CMU 公民论坛’s Open Studio or work with Marketing to create an MP4 video using another platform. Detailed instructions on how to submit the video have been sent to all Virtual Showcase participants who are choosing this option but please contact 劳拉·布拉德利 if you feel this is your best option well BEFORE May 1 to ensure that the video is submitted by 5 pm on May 1.
*Please note that Option 4 may require early action so that the Marketing department is able to help produce or consult on the video. If you are using this option, please do contact 劳拉·布拉德利.

To orient your audience to your project efficiently, we ask that all PDFs and videos integrate a Presentation Title Page. 模板如下所示. Please fill out the appropriate template with the names of all of the student participants, 这个部门, 教职工赞助人的名字, 以及项目的名称.
- On a PDF, please insert the Title Page as the first page of the document. Choose either the Landscape view or the Portrait view found below to match your document's orientation.
